A MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR
"New Beginnings"

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am sincerely honored and humbled to serve as the Senior Pastor of the Historic Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church. Since April 23, 1936, our Church Family has been a beacon of hope, love and inspiration for all individuals within the city of Detroit and extended to the farthest comers of the world. Our reach and impact today have been granted to us by God, our ability to stand on his Word and the hard work and dedication of the countless men and women who have been faithful to the vision. There have been many twists, turns and challenges along our journey together, however collectively we can say, God has been good to our Church Family. As a Church Family, we have grown together in labor and Jove, and I am overwhelmingly excited about this next phase in our journey.
I would like to invite each and every one of you to join with me in this year of "New Beginnings." In declaring a "New Beginning" it is acknowledging our past, embracing our present, while pressing forward to our future. The Prophet Isaiah needed to encourage God's Children by reminding them that our Creator was "about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland (43:l9NLT.) The power of God was about to transform and change their environment right before their eyes. God was about to do a new thing in a familiar environment. Historic Little Rock Family. as we continue seeking to fulfill the vision of "Connecting Communities To Christ." It is my sincere prayer, hope and expectation in the year of 2025, that it will be a time of "New Beginnings", in which God will equip and empower each and every one ofus to have a closer walk with Him, but more importantly we will be able to witness the life changing power of God's Holy Spirit in the Church and community at large.

As a Family of Faith, I am ready to embark upon this journey of a "New Beginning" as we continue Reaching, Reclaiming, Rebuilding, and Reviving Disciples through Worship and the Word of God. "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him (I Corinthians 2:9KJV)
I Am Excited To Take This "New Beginning" With You!
