A MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR

Greetings to our Historic Little Rock Church Family,

I would like to greet each of you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a Church family we are very excited to be embarking upon the year of 2023 as a time of “Refresh.” We are “Connecting Communities to Christ” first by refreshing our own personal relationships to God. The Holy Bible encourages and provides sound instruction in 3 John 1:2, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Serving as Senior Pastor of this wonderful and loving congregation, it is my responsibility to ensure that each of us are guided by the Word of God, embraced with His everlasting love and also protected from physical and spiritual dangers that may cause discord to our family of faith.

Since March 2020, everyone has felt the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) which has caused a global pandemic. Although we have gained additional information about COVID-19, we are currently in the midst of experiencing a surge in the Omicron variant of this deadly disease.

As a Family of Faith, worshipping and serving God together, we want to remind everyone that our complete faith and confidence remains in God. We are also encouraging the following Best Practices to ensure our time together is both spiritually fruitful and safe:

  • Practice Safe Social Distancing- While inside the sanctuary and on the campus of the Historic Little Rock Baptist Church, we are encouraging all members and friends to maintain 6ft. of social distancing. Our ushers will ensure there is an empty row between each pew where members/friends are seated. Members of the same household should remain seated together on the same pew at all times.

  • Temperature Checks- Upon entry into the sanctuary, our ushers/nurses will be conducting temperature checks. Anyone with an elevated temperature or experiencing cold/flu symptoms will be encouraged to worship with us on Facebook Live or by Radio Transmitter in our Church Parking.

  • Wear Proper Mask/Face Coverings- Proper mask and Face Coverings are highly encouraged on our campus but are now optional in accordance with current Covid guidelines.

  • Guided Exiting- At the conclusion of service, our Ushers will guide us safely by rows to ensure we reduce crowded social gatherings and the transmission of any germs/viruses.

  • COVID 19 Vaccination- It is my prayer that everyone from 5+ years old and beyond considers taking either the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or the Johnson & Johnson vaccination to reduce and possibly eliminate the severe illness/death rate of COVID-19.

Historic Little Rock Baptist Church Family, the Holy Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7, For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Together as a Family of Faith we will be able to safely navigate through this season. Please show love to our members, friends and neighbors who are sick and going through bereavement. Let’s continue to call, check and encourage each other with prayer and the Word of God. Peace and Blessings, Rev. Antoine T. Colvin Pastor-Elect Historic Little Rock Baptist Church
